Szlamp.com was allegedly built by a mysterious character who goes by the call name of Szlampy. Most people believe this to be the alter-ego of an English Gentleman called Keith Szlamp, but he openly denies building the website and says that it wasn't built by him at all but by someone else and he actually has very little to do with it all.

The puzzles are so difficult and complex that the majority of people never even make it as far as the registration pages, but as you progress into the site more and more areas unlock themselves thus allowing members into inner circles where certain secrets and truths are revealed unto them. Due to the nature of this puzzle it has even been rumoured to be an elaborate guise for a religious cult or some kind of millionaire's club. Either way, no one that has made it into the inner circles has ever revealed to the rest of us what it's about, but those people that have made it inside do seem to have had increased enlightenment about their role in life from those times onwards.
